EDUCATION

PITCHBLACK Immersive Experiences offers educational workshops – the Sensory Library (aka Sensoteca) – for schools and groups (In Spanish and English). We modify the PITCHBLACK experience for the classroom by using blindfolds and enhanced audio headphones to emphasize the senses of touch, taste, smell and sound.

For the school programs we offer three different plays that are combined with post presentation activities and writing exercises. These units led by experienced teaching artists offer students a unique and unforgettable way to address various important themes. Our workshops are aligned with core objectives and curriculums

OUR PROGRAMS:

Sensoteca  offers a break form screens. It’s a collection of sensory content that focuses on the senses of touch, taste, smell, and especially sound. At the end of the play, participants take part in a series of activities designed by experts in education and psychology led by our teaching artists.

These activities include writing exercises, as well as sensory explorations and role play games, all tailored to specific grade levels, inviting students to discuss the ways we perceive ourselves and others in society and the world.
